reded out tail lights

yea thats the stuff i was looking at... while i was at the auto parts store..

so i get the candy red to do my tails right?
and i do the inside of lens or the outside of lens ?

yeah the metalcast is what i used and spray the outside of the lense i dont think it would work if you sprayed the inside

it would only work on the inside cody, if you had clear lenses..

i dont have clear lens so yeahh!!

lol, Jeff (jmzminiz or w/e) painted the inside of his lenses and..well...it was an epic fail. There's pics floating around here somewhere. It was quite a few months back.

But yeah, you paint the OUTSIDE of you lens. Make you you paint both the amber and the red part of your lenses to make it look even. Once they're painted and done, they'll look like they came from the factory like that.

How about a little more fun with MetalCast. Didn't like some of my options with the LED bulbs so I tried another route.




The odd part is in person the red color in the last picture looks more red than it does in the picture above. Oh well, guess the camera did not like the additional lighting. I do like how the red color seems to saturate the entire lens as opposed to the LED bulb which only put a red dot in the middle of the white lens.

Anyway, just another option for those running clear tails.

Looks good Linn, but I was a little ahead of ya. See in my sig how my tails are kinda black inside? I painted the reflectors black to give it a smoke look though the clear lens, and with it being dark, it actually lit up better.
