Hey guys,
Some real nice trucks here, needed to get that said right off the bat.
Mine is kinda pretty, but shes a cold blooded old hag. This is a 86' B2000 Shortbed (i think??), a friend of mine was buying a new car couldn't have his hotrod (62 chev truck), Mazda and the new one on his property. So he gave me 20$ to come get it from his house, signed it over to me and gave me 20$. What are friends for aye ?
When i got it there were some things done to it already, hood was black primmer and faded. tail lights, head lights, side markers all after market, windows Blacked out (illegal tint), headers, upswept side exhaust behind the drivers door. Momo short shifter, Wood grain GT Grant wheel, and im pretty sure that my seats are out of a car, cant remember out of what. Besides that, it was lowered before i got it as well, looked like 3-4 inch risers in the back and, i think just the torsion is messed with up front. Also i bought it with out an air cleaner, like... none....
Im not too much of a mechanic, more of a IT nerd. Regardless shes my little Bi:censore: , and i love her! When i got the truck i burned the clutch out, duh its a minitruck. Then when i was driving my truck home from the shop where i got the clutch replaced, i blew my rear-end all over the freeway. I think it had a long life of no rear-end fluid. Me and a Buddy, (or .... vise versa) went to a pull-a-part got a rear-end and rebuilt the whole thing. Packed all new grease in it, topped it with fluid. I replaced the risers in the back because they were cheap, and one was shattered. Thats probably why the rear end was floppin around. Now the Mazdawg runs, drives, shifts and scares the kiddies. I tore a grocery bag full of wires out from under the hood, everything i tore out was not even connected to anything. Like a toggle switch ran to the grill, for no reason. Im guessing that there were some fog lights, that are no longer there. I gave her a full tune-up sparks wires, distributer, cap, router, points, oil change, oil filter, fuel filter and also got a new air filter. I reprimmered my hood, flat black. My truck liked to stutter in the middle of the powerband, around 2500-3500 RPMs. I bought a carb rebuild kit, since well i was driving the truck for a while without an air cleaner, and i imagine my bro drove it like that too. So shes been suckin in some filth. With the carb rebuilt she smokes less on startup then before, and doesnt seem to stutter at any RPM. Also she seems to have a bit more torque after the carb was rebuilt.
Uh, im tired of typing and cant think of anything else to say right now, if anyone has any questions then hit me up. Check out the truck...
