uh oh! mikey's hit the rattlecans again...

Had a terrible and frustrating day on Saturday prepping and priming the truck, but today's efforts proved worth the struggle.

This is only the first coat and it's wetsanded which is why it looks a little rough. Roof needs to be redone, some runs need to be sanded out, some stuff needs to be cleaned up, but otherwise, that's the new look.

It's Duplicolor Ford Red Engine Enamel and Gloss Black.

Damn that looks good for rattle can. Instead of kermit we now have Miss Piggy.

I was actually going to go with Grabber Green again but I could only get 3 cans in the entire city, and I needed 5 to do it.

Either way, it looks better than it did. Now it's time to put a rotary in that biatch!

Very nice Mike - your getting to be a real expert with the rattle can. Color pattern although maybe not original does look refreshingly different from the norm. Just did a minor repair to a friends truck using Victory Red Duplicolor and the matching Duplicolor clear - pretty good stuff. If your wet sanding yours I'm guessing it's gonna turn out pretty good from afar AND up close

I wetsanded the primer with 2000 grit before I sprayed the colour, and now that the first coat of colour is layed down, it's also wetsanded with 2000 grit as well. I have to wait til next weekend to do the second coat and the clearcoat, so it looks a little rough right now in person with some sanding scuffs and such in it.

One good thing about going with the red and black is that it's stillb right and vibrant and I don't have to change the colour on my registration.
