ya. he was trying to keep costs as low as possible. between bagging his other truck with bolt ons and my maz with all weld ons we learned alot. he knew he wanted to keep stock tank location so he went with the 3 link. the bars and diff plate he bought. the notches i built. the bridge bars i cut from materials at work. the cross member we modded for the drive shaft. basically cut it loose from frame and remounted on top. the side tank mounts he moved up as well. the bag plates we copied from my set up and had cut. we figured he saved about 400 by going this route. the front he modded the stock lowers. we need to add in the front shock mounts and were going to stock floor the bed by 4". the 3 link and lower bars he bought as well as a universal kit, but we cut the lowers to fit for behind the stock spring perch and moved them back towards axle. the 3 link we basically just found an angle the would work from a bar and had another buddy bend it. once i got it where i liked it i had him round cut the end and welded it all up.
