the way i hooked my egr up is i took one of the vacume switches from the stock carb.I also used the stock thermo sensor on the bottom of the rad.I hooked one side of the thermo sensor to a swttched +12v, hooked the other to one pole of the vacume switchn and the othe pole to ground.Then i hooked up my vacume lines.Now the egr only works when the engine is up to temp.

ok i have a qustion i still have the stock carb if i take the egr off what will happen my truck has been running like crap i have replaced every thing in the electrical from plugs to coil and had the carb rebuilt i have a new fuel pump new fuel sending unit what it was doing is i could drive it for a few days and it would run fine and the it would start cutting out and want to die i would lose power but i could pull over and waite for a few min and it would run fine for about a mile or so and start doing the same thing but i got it back from the carb shop and havent drove it much to see if its still doing it but its still sluggish when i give it gas to speed up at times thanks for any info chris

im not in school anymore so i dont have the tools to make you one or i would. mine isnt billet though, its just aluminum that i spent like three solid days polishing

That looks alot better then the one I made. I noticed that my truck idled and ran better when I took off the egr and put the plate on.

thanks man i spent alot of time on it. cuz its actually two pieces shaped the same and then tig welded together.
