thanks guys. wait till you see what I've got up my sleeve for it next.

This shows I don't call myself crazy mikey for nothing. LOL

My buddy has come up for the long weekend,so we're going to do a little more work on the paint. I'll have some updates by the end of the weekend.

Alrighty, well my buddy and I spent most of the day and a few beers later, wetsanding the entire body, repspraying the black, touching up some green spots and spraying 2 coats of clear coat over the whole body. We also added a Mazda emblem on the tailgate from my old RX7,and laid a silver vinyl pinstripe down the bodyline. The body is so smooth now that water just beads on contact.

As you can tell, the body isn't perfect. It still has some dents and dings and some rust spots, but the doors are going to be replaced anyways, and I've got a set of Cadillac tails to install too. Not sure when I'll get around to doing them, but the truck looks good enough for the budget I'm on right now.

So,here is the finished product. Not bad for less than $120.

The pinstripe is just a 1/4" silver vinyl pinstripe. I just laid it along the bottom edge of the bodyline overtop where the colours meet.

That Duplicolor stuff looks sweet! I was going to use a gun and do a real nice spray job,but with the way things have been lately,I've had to get a new carb and a header,so I'm out over $600 on that stuff and that ate my paint/body budget,so I improvised.

yea it will not be a how stopping paint job but hay its better than spary can and does not cost that much. And I understand what you mean crazy and like I said before that spray can is 100% better than driving around with primer. more so were you live with the wet weather
