Yeah.. i called my motor hook up and its actually cheaper to get a jap motor shipped from calli minus the core charge.. than it is to rebuild my motor.. and thats just for the kit.. thats not including me killing myself in the process.. not sure what i'm going to do yet.. i will defenatly let you guys know.

i can get a long block from AutoZone for 1500 with a year war on it but i can also get a T5 tranny for the 302 i wont for 1100

well your not actually rebuilding the motor its done for you . all you have to do is swap distriburator , starter , carb , manifold etc over to the replac,ement motor . I'd like russ to let us in on where he got the jap motor for his truck that had 35k on it .. sounds like its cheaper .. but does it come with the same kinda warranty ?

i have a Jap motor in my truck. 2.0 w. a new weber 38 outlaw.......it runs stronger than my old 2.2 w. the hollley. U can either get a 6month warranty or a 12month warranty. Depending on where u get it from.

I also had to swap over my oil pan bc the slump*or whatever you call it* was in the front portion and would hit the cross member.

these are all the parts i swapped over

fuel pump
intake manifold
header
motor mounts
dist.
fan
AC comp. but im taking it off
Alternator
oil pan

and i think thats it, might be missing some other stuff

i think you have to swap over the flywheel and clutch as well
