ummm for squeeling try tightening the belts (i know repalcement is better but...)

to figure out which one it is, spray some wd-40 or other spray lube onto the alternater belt (9 outta 10 its the anternater belt)... start it up and rev it... if the squeal goes away (untill the lube burns off), tighten ur alternater belt...
if not, try the wanter pump belt... then powerstearing (IF u have it)
dunno about the clunk...

hmm if its your DIFF then i would say, pull the tranny get a new clutch and a new tranny, me and Killer C had a similar situation and we had his tranny pulled and the new one in, in less than 2 hrs, but we were bookin it, and we had done it before.

Ahhhh not the diff. Ive gone through 2 of those bad boys. last one was $400 at team auto.

i'll probably ruff it out as long as I can... i've got plans to switch to a different rear end and a different front frame clip this winter anyways.

Interesting, what do you plan on using for a front clip??

s10 front clip and rear end... gives me many more engine options and will just generally make things easier.
