ok guys today i lined up the three marks, cam pullt number 1 mark, line on the harmonic balencer pully, and the gear behind that pully beneath the timing cover.....
Now everything should be TDC but i need to go buy a belt tommorow for the alt ect....

But i am a little confused about what i have to do with the distributer....
Do i pull out the entire unit? Or do i just take of the cap? Or when everything is all lined up, do i check if the dis rotor is pointing under the number 1 spark plug wire on the cap?
Just a little confused.

Thank you guys very much for the help.
When i adjusted the timing belt todaya, i found that it was off about 2-3 splines on the cam pully. so hopefully that was it.

Yeah, just pull the dist cap off and make sure the rotor is pointing to no. 1 spark plug.
If it is not, then you have to pull the dist off then reinstall with rotor pointing to no. 1 spark plug.

ok is the rotor supose to point to the number 1 spark plug in the block, or is it supose to point right under the number 1 spark plug wire that is attached to the cap?

Ok so today i got everything together, put the radiator back in filed it up and then tryed to start........

After cranking a few times, i looked around the engine bay, and i seen some coolent driping from the back right side of the block. Then i looked under the car and seen a masive f-ing puddle of collent.
The crap was coming straight out of my catalytic converter. so i had someone crank the car while i looked underneith, and every time the engine was cranked over, the exhaust would look like a hose shotting out coolent.
WTF.....I am so dam irritated, i really need help with this, i am not shure what this sympthom means, is my block bad? or mabye the rings are fried?

Somebody please point me in the right direction

Rotor supposed to point to number 1 spark plug attached to the cap. lol

Stop cranking, coolant is incompressible, may cause big damage to pistons. etc. Could be a couple of things.
1. Intake manifold gasket not torqued or seated right to the head.
2. Warped head. Did you have it decked or machined?
3. Head gasket not torqued right.
4. Cracked head, engine not yours. just kidding.

Remove the spark plugs and crank it and see which spark plug hole is shooting out coolant.
Let us know what you find out.

ok guys my friend that is a mechanic took a look at my truck.
He said that the head is damaged, and warped.
He said that i need a new head, so now im pissed.
It suck cause i dont have the money right now to get a new head.
Does anyone know were i can get one cheap?
he also said because the heads warped and i put a new head gasket in, the new head gasket is no good. He said that oil, and collent got all over it, i should buy a new one.

Shit so now the project is on hold for now

You might be able to reuse the old head. Take it to a engine rebuilder, have it pressure tested and shaved to remove the warpage, new valve guides/seals and grind valves and seats. Probably about $175. Or get a rebuilt head for $275 and get a refund for core. A new head is over $400.
