carb size

what is the size of the opening on the carb for a 89 2.2
i want to order the adapter from summit so i can get a new air cleaner but i cant find my tapemeasure and do it myself.

I think you just need a 2bbl to 4bbl adapter...If thats what your taking about

damn thing is too small.. i got to call em get another.

thats the exact one i used on my old mazda.......it actually came in a kit with a 9" chrome air filter that i got at Advance Auto Parts.....was only like 15 and i had it installed in less than an hour (includeing going to advance, coming home, and installing it.....hardest part was shortening the stock bolt.......

Are you sure? i had to drill 2 holes in the bottom of mine when i had the 2.2 so the carb studs could go threw to hold it on,

o yah, running the stock carb without the emmissions is suposed to be bad for the engine because it causes it to run rich and washes the oil off the cylinder walls.......

i ran mine like that for about a month before i sold it with no problems and im pretty sure it still runs to this day
