Coolant leak under dash

A quick search turned up zilch, so I thought I'd post. My '97 B2300
has started a slight (1-2 drops) leak under the far right dash (passenger side).

Anyone deal with this previously? Am i looking at a new heater core?

i would say yes but it might be from the ac too check to see if it smells like antifreeze or just water

Yea check it to see if it smells like coolant or if it is jus water. If its just water, are you running A/C? If not, then it still may be your heater. I know on the 86-93, the heater core is on top of the tranny hump, so it leaks out from the innermost parts of the floorboards.

Tell me about it. I just cut through mine the other day doing my body drop. IT was so much easier on my buddies nissan. Oh well. I guess Ill just have to do with out a heater.

Thanks all. Yep, smells like coolant to me. The leak is from
under the far passenger side of the dash, under the glove box.

I'm looking into by-passing the heater core for a temporary fix.

If its coolant, its probably leaking down onto some of the stuff under the dash and coming out on the other side. I bypassed my heater core pretty easily.

yea that will tell you if its that for sure

did u take urs completely out i just got rid of the fuker and ran the hose in a little curve u cant even see the hose now

listen the quickest fix for that is buy a in line flushkit and bipass it under the hood where the two radiator lines come out till you can part your truck for 2 or 3 days and replace the heater cor also wait and check to make sure its not a hose cause some one (well ok it was me) was racing a honda on the super street tour to the nopi nats well i was pinned out on the spedo and lo and behold my hose went under the hood and my fluid started spitting out all over my leg which sucked too boot the heat from the fluid fogged up my windows and i couldnt see shit it was gay and promply ended my desire to go fast in mazdas haha
and then it took me longer to swap out my core then it did to swap my engine it sucked
