Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else out there that actually knows what they're doing has put a weber carb on a stock '84 b2000 and took out all the extra crap.
I live in Idaho, where we have no emissions tests or anything like that and I just want to have a simple engine compartment.
This mazda was my first car and I would like to see it run forever, just without all the headaches of vacuum lines that don't do anything productive.
If you know what I can safely take out please let me know!!!!!

I pulled almost all the vacuum hoses and stuff off the stock carb on my '84 B2000. I left some of the hoses, that were attatched dirrectly to the carb, alone. My truck seemed to run better afterwards. I could really tell the difference with the air pump off. I kept it that way. My truck is in Oregon and I don't know if it will pass emissions the way it is. Meh...

when you put the webber 32/36 DGEV on, you take out all the vacume lines except the one that goes to the distributer. the others are no longer used.

if anyone has a picture of what this should look like that would of course be appreciated.....

what about the strange tubes on the exhaust manifold??

The tubes can be taken off.. and ford lug nuts fit right on there to seal it off LOL.. or you can do a couple tac welds in the holes to fill it up.

as for the pics.. it was dark outside.. and a dirty engine bay.. this was also before i bagged it out so the inner fenders are still in there.. but you get the point.

mullet forgot to mention that you probably don't wanna take the vacuum line off your vacuum brake booster. that would equal problems

forgot to mention - the vacuum line to the pvc valve should not be removed either..

Just as an after thought.. if you can leave your charcoal canister hooked up.. that would be for the best as well.. Keeps gas fumes down.. the emissions side of a charcoal canister are pretty minimal.. but I like to leave them hooked up just to capture errant gas fumes. Not that important unless you like to smoke around your engine bay

mullet i appreciate you posting the pics bro but that motor is slightly different than the 84,83 years, i think i got a good idea on what hes talking about

are you talking about the tube that goes from the exhaust to the breather, if u are then u can take that off no problem just as long as u plug that hole on the exhaust.
