But all I find is:

"You can just tear it all out." to "It'll run like crap!"

I want it to run as normal, but I want a better idea, (pics would help), of what I should/can remove and what I shouldn't. I have no working electric choke anymore either if that helps

Thanks!

with a stock carb it will run like crap if you pull anything out but if you get a Weber you can pull it all off and it run good this will also need a new header or some fab work to cover the holes in the Exuest (spell)

If switching to a webber - can you remove the computer too ??

what i did was crank it up and start pulling vac hoses and plugging them...if you pull one and it dies, then put it back, and for the exaust stuff...take your heat shield off(youll have to cut and resplice the o2 sensor wire)get you 4 1/4 pipe plugs and put them in place of the 4 pipes on the manifold, and for the other two...cut them as close to where they hook up down low, pinch them with some vice grips and weld

Yes, and all the wires that come through the right side of the firewall, except of course the 5 wires for the wiper motor if you want wipers.

can you really remove the whole computer if you have a weber carb.

Dude that rocker cover looks great, and the WD can being the same diameter as the coil is deff considerable as unique, I once used a ronson butane can as a quick patch on a radiator neck, along with some JB Weld of course. I was about half way through a 400 mile ride, and of course I had my tools with me. it held up beyond the rad. which was going fast. It ultimatelty failed , but not on count of repairs. I now have a dual core aluminum radiator. and it's good now. Nice Improvision.

Yes the only thing the computer controls is the carb so get a weber and header and it will clean up under your hood nice and as for just pulling and pluging it could cuase your truck to run rich while it wont mess it up right away it will cuase it to go faster

what will running the truck rich for a long time do and how long will this take to happen. i think i have had my emission stuff of for about 1000 miles and the only problems i've had has been with keepin oil in it but my truck only has 70610 miles on it
