AUTO TO 5 SPEED

What is involved in swapping a 1986 5-speed transmission out of a b2000 and putting it into a 1991 b2200 with an auto... I'm not worried about things like fly wheel, clutch pedal... mostly what to do with wiring, specifically, the clutch lockout, and reverse light switch... also the hole in the floor is different form the 1986 truck...

I have seen a few people on this forum have done the swap… just wondering what they did???

the floor boards are different from auto to manual. there is no seperate wiring involved, have to switch the radiator (tranny cooler for the auto) and all the stuff u listed above. I would look into a wildwood kit which will allow u to use their pedal assembly and not having to mount anything on the firewall.. can actually shave the break booster at the same time.

I Have everything to do the swap, pm me with a price if interested, only thing i dont have is the rad, i already sold it. I have a good 5speed tranny & clutch with a short shifter in it, All the clutch lines, slave cylinder, clutch pedal, driveshaft for an extended cab, cover plate thing for the shifter hole itself. We were getting ready to do it on my buddys truck but then he sold it, and left the parts for me...

Kinda need the money so i'll let it go cheap!

Cut a new hole for the shifter then weld up the old one you might just be able to cut that hole bigger for the shifter

Yea wtf c5388 some of use have been workin on Mazda's for ever. My trucks bagged/backhalfed and v8ed Theres probably more custom in my exhuast then your truck. I don't mean to talk shit but it kinda pisses me off when i no alot about this subject...
