i use to have that same problem. except mine wasnt as bad. it only did it when i would 1st start it up in the morning for about 5 min or so. my truck had about 163,000 miles on it and then i finally got the money to rebuild it. i wouldnt just rebuild parts of it. if you have the money, go ahead and get it all rebuilt, b/c seeing that it smokes that bad and uses that much oil, your block is prolly scratched and its gonna need to be bored out. besides, when they rebuild the whole motor, they replace, vlaves, valve seals, pistons, piston rings, rods, bearings, oil pump, spark plug wires and a lot of other things as well. if you dont have the funds for it then ofcourse do what you can, but a full engine rebuild will be the best solution
