hey guys, i just replaced my head gasket today and when we went to start it up it just made a little clicking sound on the passenger side near all the vacume things. every time i turn the key i get i single cliking and its not coming from the starter. we tryed jumping the starter and everything, but its a no go. any help would be wonderful and pics of some engine bays might help. thanx guys.

only thing i can think of to tell u is check ure battery and or alternator. mine terminal get a bad connection sometimes. sorry if this dosnt help.

thanx but right now i dont have my alternator belt on or a battery, i just hooked the jumper cables directly to the battery terminals, and when i turn the key i get a single click coming from whatever that is on the back end of the passenger side wall. what are all of these things, can any one tell me. sorry if i sound lame but im not too good with engines, i just recently started learning so anything will help thanx.

put the battery back on then try to start it if you need to just jump the battery its not a good idea to tray and jump the starter its self plus its easer to reach the battery then the starter

alright, its still not doing anything. i cant even get the starter to turn.

distributor? oh and this dont have to do with it but it helps is ur #1 piston top dead center?

can you turn the motor by hand

no its ur starter selanoid make sure ur batery cables are hook up directly to the cables and make usre u have good grounds adn all the wires to ur starter are hooked up it is ur starter

ok well i pounded the starter a few times and it turns now but wont start up, any suggestions. thanx

check for is it getting fuel did u put the plugs and wires write are the wires to the blaster coil hooked up write it has to be something little b.c these motor have low compression as is so they can run on shit .. umm is ur choke or did u put ur timing on right check that and hit me back
