Not sure if you're talking rotary => Pickup or something else => RX7. If it's the later go to engineswaps.com. If it's the former...well consider this a warning.
im pretty sure its a 1987 rx7. the dude that owns the rx says it should be pretty easy...the motor mounts are the same design and he said the only thing that i should do is switch it to carburation.
hahah im doing that swap right now...forget using anything but full custom or " highly moddified engine mounts and if you think that is your biggest concern think again..but u are right having the whole car will make life easier right now i still have the body off the frame with rx-7 rear susp. in and bagged..as well as engine mounts and new tranny crosmember in....i do have some wireing concerns but ill get to that road when the day comes my harne came complete and the only wired that are cut are the wires from the engine loom to the guages/ignition ..plan on having engine truck on the road by the end of july
Southernrazed how long you been at this?
By the way I've already done the swap also and it's a 87 Rx-7 Turbo II, just trying to finish the metal work right now.
i just need to know if there is any custom parts i need to get and where to get them our what i have to modify...cause i was reading up on someone that did the swap and he was using parts from all different kinds of cars.
I made my own motor and trans. mounts, and had a local truck shop rework my drive line. Also you need to shift the shifter hole back depending on how far back in the bay you plant the motor. All the electrical and instrument gauges from the rx are in it as well.
