Well, I'm posting about this for two reasons:

1. If I were to do this, what size tubing would I need for the exhaust?

I would cut the pipe at the back of the muffler, and Y it off from there, out the back of the rollpan where your bumper would be. I was wondering if anybody did this, because it has to be the certain size for back compression.

2. I would probably attach stainless steel exhaust tips and have only about 1/2 an inch sticking out of the roll pan. The holes for the rollpans bumper holes would be redone in a circular cutout for the tips. How many of you think that would look sick? I DO!

If you really want a slammed ride, don't do the dualies straight out the back. I had mine like that, now they're out the driver's side which is good for hearing it too

well, are you talking about making them come out through the rollpan or underneath the rollpan? through the rollpan would be cool but i think you should only do 1. but if you decide to do two of them, i dont think it'd look too bad, but it'd be cleaner with none or just one!

if you decide with two, i would not run any bigger than 2inch pipes. single or dual

I HAD DUALS ON MINE BACK IN THE DAY (CAT ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD, TURBO MUFFLER 2" PIPE IN & 2 -2 1/2" PIPES OUT) THEY WENT OUT THE HOLE IN THE FACTORY ROLL PAN WHERE THE BUMPER BRACKETS GO.....

A COUPLE OF Q'S FOR YA....
1. DO YOU STILL HAVE CATS ON YOUR TRUCK? IF SO ONE OR BOTH?
2. HOW LOW DO YOU PLAN TO GO WITH YOUR SUSPENSION?

WHETHER OR NOT YOU RUN A CAT (S) ON YOUR TRUCK I WOULD GET A DIFFERENT MUFFLER, ONE PIPE IN 2" & TWO OUT (NO LARGER THAN 2 1/4" WITH OUT CAT (S) 2 1/2" WITH CAT (S)...) TO RUN THE DUALS TO THE ROLL PAN. YOU ARE LIMITED ON THE AMOUNT OF SPACE ABOVE THE AXLE THAT YOU CAN RUN PIPES OVER & STILL HAVE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE BED FLOOR & AXLE, YOU ALSO HAVE TO CONSIDER IF YOUR SPARE TIRE STILL HANGS IN THE FACTORY SPOT THAT THE PIPES WILL HAVE TO GO AROUND THIS ASWELL. IF YOU PLAN ON ANY SUSPENSION LOW ENOUGH TO HAVE A "NOTCH" YOU ARE BETTER OFF TURNING IT OUT IN FRONT OF THE WHEEL WELL.

Whhat would be bad about dualing it out if I bagged it? And whats so critical about hearing it?

Ya, I'm talking about having them go out the back of the rollpan through the bumpers mount holes. If I ended up having no exhaust pipes out the trucks body, how do most people go about it? I've seen some people just get rid of the line and put a cherry bomb on. But thats all bs. Those things suck... And I wont have no catalytic converters!

Is'nt the pipes 1 1/2 inch? So I would imagine if I dualed it, it would have to be like 3/4 in?

I have both cat converters. One on the exhaust man. and on the exhaust line. I want to bag my truck. But I dunno how low that makes it. I dunno what things you have to replace and/or remove, etc.

Would'nt the fram hit first before anything? If not, I suppose I just want to go as low as the rockers...

I will be getting rid of my spare. No sense in having one, when its rotted and you don't even have a jack! What do you mean by notching it? As in C notching the frame for the bags?

So I suppose I should just wait to redo the exhaust until I bag it?

well if you plan on baggin the truck and laying rockers, youll need a body drop, and your going to have to notch, and if you still want to run duals then find a damn good exhaust shop that would be able to bend the exhaust up over the axle into the hole in your bed ( where you would have to cut out for you notch) and back down and out, just like a nice big U but upside down, only prob is the heat, if its gonna be close to the bags your gonna need a good exhaust wrap to keep the heat down.

I Lowered my truck 3" in the front and 4" in the rear...and i have a flowmaster muffler, single to dual outlet, running out the back over that axle and out the back, and its hitting and clinging, so im gunna have to do something with it...and get it fixed, cause once i bag it, it'll be gone anyways...but yea...if you plan on bagging it or going any lower then you already are, i wouldnt suggest it..cause it will definitly hit...i have mine as far up as i can...basically touching the bottom on the box, and its still touching. thats just my 2 cents

oh and another way, if you plan on running your baggs on top of the axle, then your not gonna get that much lift and you could then route the exhaust under the axle with just a slight bend down, it wont touch the ground nor will it touch the axle.
