If you want a more affordable set-up, here are my 2-cents. I bought two 14" electric fans, a thermostatic switch, two universal relays, wire loom and the necessary wire. I mounted the two fans on the radiator. Mounted the thermostat switch by the battery with the thermal probe in the fins of the radiator right under the inlet side (trying to read the temp. of the water coming from the engine as the thermostat opens). Power comes from an unused terminal on the main fuse block on the passenger side. The two relays were mounted at the front edge of the valve cover. I used two relays because I still have my air conditioner. Main power for both relays comes direct from the battery. Switched power comes from either the a/c compressor clutch or the thermostat switch. One relay is wired to the thermostat switch and the other is wired to the a/c compressor clutch feed. The relays have to be wired so either can turn the fans on without backfeeding to the other relay. That means connecting the outputs together on the relays. If I turn the a/c on, the fans come on. If you dont do this correctly, when the thermostat side relay comes on, it will activate your compressor even if you aren't running the a/c. I hope this helps, by the way, mine is on a '93 B2600i 2WD 5-spd..........L8RS!!!
