i was wondering if a b2200 head would fit on my 626 2.0l turbo, because the distributor come out the right side and i believe it will interfere with the brake master cylinder...also if you know of anything else to look out for when doing this swap will be helpful

i guess i should say that it is goin in a b2200

also the thermostat housing is on the back...so if the b2200 head will fit i could bolt it back on the front right?

actually have a truck that has this swap, use the block turdo and manifold then and use the 2.2 head, if you really want to get crazy you the fuel managemant, and head from a KIA sportage 95'-02' 2.0. no more questions tonight please that took alot out of me!!

what we need to know is can you swap over a head off a 2200 to a 2000 we know the 2200 has hydraulic lifters but what about the cam does a 626 cam have she same specs or is the lift. and duration differant ? is the specs differant between a b2200 and a b2000 any help ?

call comp cams and tell them wha your doin and theyll probly cut a cam for you

well dad i believe the 626 turbo cam is goin to have different specs because its a cam from a turbo motor but hey im not the ASE sertified mechanic...you are

these turbo motors are lo compression so of course the cams will be diff. but you need to know how much boost you plan on runnin and then gwt a cam cut for it to have a decent running engine

check out solomiata's site & mazdatrucking.com, both have very good info about the mazda motors....the cam will be different on the turbo than the b-series trucks, but the comp. ratio is about the same as the trucks are only 8.6:1 factory, & i think the 626 t is @ 8.0:1 so that won't matter much with what little boost the 626t turbo will put out....if you use the mani, & got a garret then it might matter but even then you can regulate the boost to what you want.....i don't think i would run over 10 lbs w/o some head studs, & a copper head gasket, even then you might run into probs.
