I got 140k on my 86 cab plus- all stock motor- driven daily, runs like a champion, 30-35 mpg. It's got a heli-coiled spark plug stuck in cylinder number three from a previous owner, hopefully it will run til 170-180 or so before I have to replace the cylinder head from a worn out spark plug.
I am curious, how do you burn up a mechanical fuel pump?
mines got 189000km runs great but gas mileage is terrible, 20mpg hwy and 14 city (not driving it hard cause i cant afford that) it used to get 30 hwy in september but not anymore i guess replacing plugs, wires, cap&rotor, air&fuel filters, complete exhaust (stock size) and a good highmileage 10w30 oil change are all really bad for your vehicle. It burns 1/3 litre of oil per 5000km.
btw i do 80% hwy driving so it gets good and warmed up every time.
210k miles on mine smokes a bit when started when cold, I get about 25mpg unless I am towing, then I get about 18, my clutch dont like to tow.
