Bingo! All the pressure you are generating with the pedal is leaking past the seals and going right back into the reservoir. The harder you push the pedal, the harder it will shoot the fluid out. Good chance if you rebuilt it that ther is a scratch where the seals go.

i will go get it a new one and hope it helps.
