ok, go to your local auto parts store, get the rad. flush kit, follow the directions on the bottle. then drain the rad., run a water hose to it and crank it up with the drain open. when the water coming out of it is clear than you are good. pull the hose out, let it drain. close the drain, and fill it up with 2 gal. of green coolant, add water if necessary. when you top it off, keep the cap off and crank the truck up and let the coolant circulate, and add water as necessary.
you want the green coolant, the orange stuff is for newer cars and not what you want at all.
also check for bubbling, this means you have either a blown head gasket or cracked head.
