The intake can be "flipped" with an adapter plate like b2200GT's/Immortal's truck. The distributor is definately your problem. The Stock ECU HAS TO HAVE the distributor for cam shaft pickup's/ position sensors- or else it will not run at all. You will need all of the stock Turbo wiring harness for this swap. If you have to retain the distributor- then you'll have to cut the firewall out.
OR......
GET a Bongo motor! Bongo is a canadian/ japanese mazda van with a FE engine with a 12 valve cylinder head, fuel injected, RWD- distributor is in the fron like a b2200 truck. It's the 12 valve mx-6, 626, probe cylinder head otherthan distributor location.
I'm using a bongo m0tor in my b2200 truck, with the stock b2200 distributor, megasquirt standalone engine management, MSD btm 6al igintion, custom turbo manifold, Garrett T3 turbo off a buick grand national, front mount intercooler, probe GT lower intake and custome upper intake. I'll get some pictures for you guys soon.
