I'm not jumping the gun for a responses now. i really need help and i cant help but feel like no one wants to help. in my last post i stressed the importance of my truck to everyone, and nobody responds. this is my ONLY means of transportation. instead my post floats off the top of the list and remains not replied to. any time anyone has a question about something i know about i try and help, it you've got a stereo question i reply. i've been posting about the weber for about a week now and have gotten almost no feed back. i know you guys know these things like the back of your hands. im asking for help because i don't know what to do. and if everyones burnt out on helping us who aren't mechanics than write a tech post on weber install and tuning. im not asking to have it done for me i just need help, and when somebody asks, i try and help.

there's a weber tech article written by hex0rz -
i bet people aren't answering because they either A: don't know what your problem is, or B: don't want to post things like "oh that sucks sorry man"
i don't know webers but it sounds like your choke is sticking.

my truck was doing the same thing today, All I did to get it to stop is "slap" the petal with my foot. I'm off thursday, I'll look at mine and see what I can figure out.

thanks to you both, mine is doing the same thing. it some times sounds like its idling at about 2500 but i have no tach. i also didnt hook up the choke wire because i couldnt find one the only wire that i could find was a cut black wire. so that could be it but i cant tell. it warms up good and idles at about 800-1000rpm but wnen i begin driving for a few minutes it goes up. it workeed the day after i changed it fine but now its going crazy! what else could i use for a choke wire? any 12v?

any 12v that is on when the key is o,but off when the key is off. if you have the stock alternator, the wire that come out of the back of it is for the choke. I only needed my choke once this winter, I just ran a wire from the bat. to the choke, fired the truck up and removed it.

so would this not be the problem? i dont know it does this. when i rev the shit out of it it goes back to normal

A lot basic carbs have a "cold Idle". On a weber, when the truck is cold, you push the petal to floor ONCE and let it up. Fire it up and the truck will idle high. slap the petal and it returns to normal idle. My truck didn't do it today. Did you set the cold idle? the instruction on how should have been with the carb. If all else fails, ask Russ-D on streetsourcemag.com

My throttle wasn't returning all the way like it should. I don't have a return spring, since there really isn't a good place to put it. I cleaned the throttle assembly with some carb cleaner and some WD-40 and it's back to normal. hope this helps.
