89 2.0 Engine runs just alil rough... Questions

I took all the emisions stuff off.... I blocked all three hoses to the air filter and the middle hoses always Backs up and shoots out the lug... meaning theres alot of presure or something going on... Any help will be greatfull.. THANKS...

Also There is alot of SUCTION coming out of the carbarator.....

If u r going to run an open system like that u would be better off taking the reed valve mechanism -the silver "box" and hoses completely off the front of ur air cleaner.U r PCV valve takes hot air and gasses from u r valve cover and puts them into the air cleaner.Since yu have no way for those to exit other than going into the air cleaner and carb,that is probably where ur "backup" is coming from.U r probably just more aware of the normal "hissing" or sucking sound of ur carb since u have disconnected the three hoses.What did u do with the three silver metal hoses that went into the intake and 1 to the cat?BJ

Plugged them with lug nuts then the middle hose Shot the nut out now it runs like crap because of it... I cant figure out why there is so much presure...

ditch that whole setup and get a pacesetter and new aircleaner from a local autozone or similar store. your headache will go away!!!

what is a pace setter? I will look into it tommorow...

Do you even have a weber? I don't understand how you can remove this emissions stuff with stock carb?

Pacesetter is a header company that makes headers for our trucks. They are, from what I know, the ONLY company to make a header for out trucks!

Yes I have a stock carb.. I have seen it done plenty of times with the stock.. I think Like guy above said I have a blocked cat and I am gonna fix that today...
