I got an 89 b2200 and i can drive it around with no problems but after a few mins it just bogs down and dies ... i can crank it a few times and it will start back up but it takes a few times .... it don't matter how fast i'm goin or what gear i'm in it just bogs down and dies while i'm goin down the road

possible you map sensor, might have a clog or a short, if it doesnt sense pressure it will kill the motor (well on most vehicles) still new to mazdas

only one filter on these and thats on the firewall correct????

sounds like a fuel filter there is only one
or a fuel pump going bad or something in the tank clogging the feed line...thats what happened to mine the cardboard piece from some fuel additive lid was in the tank

On 2200 carbed trucks the fuel filter is located on the frame rail passenger side right over the tank.On 2200 and 2600 injected trucks the filter is located on the firewall passenger side.BJ

Fuel filter i would recommend you change your fuel filter and buy an extra one. Exspecially if you see red shit dripping out of your old one these old ass tanks rust up. You haven't had any problems with you fuel level sticking or getting slower to adjust after you fill up have you?

on my 2200 carb my fuel filter is on the passenger side fenderwell in a lil metal clip...

Thats strange.Mr. Mazda must have decided that he could keep us all on our toes by putting them in different places.Mine is in the back over the tank.Lol.BJ

lol, i dunno very much about these trucks so far all i know is all of em are different lol.
