.The round object on your fenderwell that you are concerned about is an altitude compensator.It allows your emissions control system to compensate for wide changes in altitude and not pollute.If u drive the truck at the same altitude all the time it will probably never function.If u go to a Weber,u can just yank it off.The empty bracket attached to your charcoal cannister is where a vacuum control valve is mounted.It is also part of the emissions system.If your truck needs to pass an emissions test or is not running properly, you will need these parts to be hooked up and functional.If not fugetaboutem.OK?BJ
