the v8 swap

i know afew guys on here have done a v8 swap in there mazdas well after some serious thinking i have decided to put a chevy 350 tbi in mine, i have a hook up with the motor and trans but what do i do about a drive shaft and a rearend cause the factory mazda one i know cant hold up so any help would be great

As long as you do everything right you should pass no problem but it also depends were you are as for me . When I go in they have me down as a hot rod or custom and they go by what car or truck you took the motor out of. And I am talking when putting a v8 or other motor not made for our truck. Just saying this so others won't start asking about doing re and re with the same motor that came out of the truck.

Better off calling your local emission station. Ask them about motor swaps.

I think with mine, you could do it, but when you fail and go for the waiver, you will fail visual...

Just don't let them get under your hood to hook up the tach, ahaha...

As long as you have everything hooked up like cat, muffler,o2 sensor if needed and do all new wires cap and oil change. You should pass with fling colors. The last swap I did it ran cleaner thn if the truck was new.
