I am finally taking the last of the pollution crap off my truck. All that is left is the one pipe that fed filtered air into the cylinders on the exhaust side.I know someone on here posted the size acorn nuts that u can use to plug the 4 ports.Anyone know? Thanks.BJ

i know you can use the nuts but not sure what size they are. why dont you just get a header, you'll love it. cleans up the bay alot. a little more power and mpg. just a thought.

bj i think they are 3/4" from a chevy....won't swear to it tho..

I thought about the header, but the Pacesetters I have seen dont seem to hold up very well plus u have to flatten the inside tube to clear the A/T flange on my truck.I have the 3/4 inch acorns from the chevy pickup I am going to try tomorrow. Please enlighten me on the NPT threads. Thanks guys.BJ

npt stands for national pipe thread if i'm not mistaken,.... only difference in most thread types is the pitch & thread count......example, fnpt, is a fine national pipe thread.....i don't think the chevy lugs are npt.....more like asme spec threads......

Ok so are the threads on the air injector ports NPT? We tried an SAE nut yesterday and it would go on about two turns and then pop off.We didnt force it.If I cant find a clean solution I am left with pinching off the tubes and welding them shut. Not real keen on doing this. For those of u with pollution concerns with a Weber swap, just for giggles we stuck a probe up the 2200s butt yesterday and measured it.Even with Weber, cam ,ported head etc the readings were all normal,so all that pollution crap is non-essential if u do the swap.BJ

take the nuts off of the tubes, and go to a hardware store, check the threads on it against bolts of like size, & get the thread type from it.....

good info on the emissions, i've always figured that as long as your engine is in proper tune, and well maintained, you could pass emissions (at least the sniffer part, but probably not the visual) with all of those goodies!

Actually I will have to take tube and all since those nuts on the tubes are flanged so they wont come off.I will be just another greasy mini-trucker dragging some sorry-assed part around looking for something to fis it.Lol.Story of my life-grease and sorry-assed parts.BJ
