When I'm sitting at a stop light my truck always wants to rev around 1500 to 2000 why is it doing this? Is there a idol sensor?
Any help would be awsome

Yes there is an idle sensor.FOllow ur accel cable to the throttle body and is located to the rear of the butterfly valve on the throttle body.Unplug it,clean the contacts, take the rubber hose off the front of ur throttle body and spray carb cleaner into the opening (do when engine is cold and put rag under the throttle body to catch the dirty gunk that will run out),take both hose ends off ur mass air flow sensor (black box nest to air cleaner box)and clean the screen in there with carb cleaner. How long since u replaced ur 02 sensor.? I assume truck is stock.Truck should run and idle much better.BJ

Yes Grasshopper, the wisdom of Mr.Mazda runs thru my ancient and honorable veins, mainly because Ive scraped my knuckles 10,000 times working on these Damn Bseries trucks he designed.Lol.BJ

well I tried cleaning every thing you said but still have hight rev's I guess I could change my 02 sensor right?
hocbj23   +1y
U could but if cleaning all ur air flow apparatus made no difference I doubt that rich mixture is the issue. There should be an idle adj screw on the throttle body that u could back out about a 1/4 turn and see if that pulls the idle down enough without causing the truck to stumble on acceleration.BJ

cool I'll try that. So I ran into another problem that speedo cable I got from you it broke ever since I put this new cluster in I'm seam to be having trouble with my speedo it worked fine for like half an hour then in the same place it broke right where it plugs in behind the cluster. what could the problem be?
