V8 crossmember from Summit

low mazda if want your engine to sit up higher then why are you concerned about the front crossmember???? if engine sits up higher you might actually clear the crossmember with a dual sump pan?? just a thought. no sense spending money before you get the motor in place and play with height.

well, i am still kicking myself in the ass for even thinking about it. With my truck only about 8 hours away from running with a brand new OEM engine, and a new house and a new baby on the way, my wife would kick MY ASS if I even let her know I was thinking about tearing it back apart.

LMAO you are SOOOO correct. I remember in my last cab plus, I went for a drag session, and I was at about 45 mph, It was like ABS and E-brake locking up. It was great.



Trick on a mazda is....dont fully rail it. Front or Rear. Not a full rail. too much friction, lil F2 says NO.

lol i have never really drug anything lol i had a yota bagged but mono leafed and i only drug leaf perch, i had trailer balls on it and drug the shit out of those, but to me that doesnt count, i dont know man my mazda seems to feel like it has plenty of power, just like dragging anything im sure you need to give a lil more pedal because of the resistance, but i dont know, i think the motor swap thing is cool but too much work for what its worth, especially if your smog guy is an asshole! if you do do it though please post a lot of pics maybe even a how to in the tech guide for others, a lot of people on here that do stuff like that are vague on everything and dont explain things to people properly, thanks man
