2.2 liter (B2200) timing cover, or cam sprocket cover, has the ribs, like his has.

2.0 liter (B2000) timing cover, or cam sprocket cover, is smooth with bubble in center

2.6 liter (B2600i) timing cover, or cam sprocket cover, is flat, with 6 ribs, and a circle they connect to in the center. Circle is hollow (not 100% sure on this one tho)

B2600is also have "12Valve" stamped on the valve cover and 2600 is are all fuel injected. The 2600 carbed truck is a Mitsubishi engine, not a Maz engine.

looked at the timing chain cover and it does say 2.2 on it....my bad lol
Got a new air cleaner on it....didnt help....looks better, but no dice. Might try and run some carb cleaner through it as well.

because its bagged and the inner fenders were removed to lay out. The rest of the truck is connected to the firewall and frame

I thought mine was also a choke issue. But when first started up it ran fine. so something other than choke is effecting it.

I was told:

1. the O2 sensor only controls fuel delivery based on the gases it reads at idle. not at higher rpm. if cheap enough change it.

2. fuel filter. if the truck is new to you as mine is. we have no idea how long the gas that was in the tank was actually in there, or what crap is swirling around on the bottom near where the fuel pickup is. let alone moisture.

3. timing. check out the timing and adjust if needed. this ended up being the biggest improvement on mine.
