12a or 13b out of a non-turbo rx with the bellhousing from the tranny & you should be good, if it is a turbo car, the gearset is the same as the b2600 trucks.....

not exactly true sir.....I have a 85 gsl-se rear in my truck, and didn't have to do a thing to the driveshaft except swap out the pinion flanges that hook the rearend to the driveshaft from the trucks axle to the gsl-se axle.

(big pic in garage)

I got mine off of e-bay for $300, you have to cut off the coil spring perches, and the link bar & sway bar mounts, then weld on some leaf spring perches, and set her on the leaf springs....you will also have to source some 2 1/4"-2 1/2" ubolts as the axle housing shafts are @ 2 1/4" in dia, whereas the trucks is right at 3". it is a little work to get one in, but should be worth it in the long run, lsd, 4.07:1 gears, and 10" rear disc brakes! there is an aftermarket locker for this carrier available from importperformanceparts.net and I'm pretty sure that since this carrier is about the same as the b2200s you could be able to swap the carriers in the axle, and maybe even the gearsets if you don't want to run the 4.07's.

either an 84 or 85 will work out of a gsl-se, both have 10" brakes, and lsd, but the 84's gear ratio is slightly different than the 85.

you could also use a rear out of a 84-85 gsl, but the brakes are 9.5", they require lug studs in stead of lug nuts, and don't have lsd.....
