is it possible 2 run a pacesetter header with a stock carb if so what would i have 2 change and what could i remove so that it looks cleaner but still runs without problems??

i dont know about what you can remove and what not but i ran a pacesetter header on my last truck with no problems, ran nice and when the bed was off it almost sounded like a hot rod, was pretty cool. but then again it had a full exhaust...... just think the pacesetter had its part in it

You just need to eliminate Your reed valves. The three hoses coming from your air cleaner going to your stock exhaust manifold. If you keep the stock carb you have to retain the rest of the emissions crud.

maybe you need to buy my pacesetter header that was SUPPOSE TO FIT MY TRUCK! but in fact it fits the 86-93 mazda no problems at all.

An excellent question.

I heard the pacesetter headers are crap. Like the paint burns off, then they rust up. Any truth to any of that?

all paint on any headers burns off for the most part and yes most surface rust. pacesetter is the only brand that makes headers for these trucks. and im wanting 80 plus shipping

Wonder if you could have it ceramic coated someplace, or painted with high temp paint. Hmm...

i stripped and painted my header in high heat paint, then got it baked at the powder coat shop for a day.......hopefully it won't flake off...
