I have bought dozens of headers all brands and they all rust... The paint they put on it just to protect them....I run it for a while till it starts burning off then take it off and use high heat stove paint...works great also they have ceramic in a can that works pretty good.

Where did you get ceramic in a can? I have bought ceramic headers before (Import cars) and it doesnt burn or discolor.

Try BBQ paint. Lasts for a long time!

The ceramic ones dont burn off just the black ones.... The ceramic in a can was from Wal-mart Ran it on my race car headers worked pretty good..

no its not new. it needs to be sandblasted and a fresh coat of ceramic paint and you are good to go. and yes it will fit your truck

and there is a new high temp powder paint for powdercoating that works miracles from what i hear.

powder coating withstands (to my experence) heat well... had my vlave cover... header... timing chain cover.... and block powder coated on my nissan... black and white.... the header discolored so i would stay away from bright colors if you do it that way.... the white i had on them turned a brownish color
