Thanks for the link. I am going to give them a call and see what all they can do for me. I am mainly looking at their pistons, valvetrain, and a cam from them. Who knows, they may talk me into more lol

I wish somebody would fab up a degreed billett cam pulley for the 2200 as well. There is one for the Miata that is a nice piece of work, but not one for the 2200.BJ

Yeah, I have put a few of those on cars around here. But as you said, not one for the 2200

BJ,
if i could ever get done with my intake, i'd give the cam gear a whirl....
but for the quickest route, i'd say paeco could do one, but it would be
pricy esp with him doing the design work on it & building it too.....

deranged,
you should also check with
there is a bunch of stuff you can get there that paeco might not have.
ferrera valves, two different flywheels (fidanza & unorthodox), clutches (although they don't carry centerforce), rods, & pistons...it is a good site/place to do business too. I got some of my stuff from them, and like BJ, I got the valve springs, retainers, from paeco + i got guides, and arp head studs.

you might also want to check into extrude honing the head, for the $$ it is an excellent process that will guarantee you get the same cfm thru all the runners, whereas with hand porting & polishing, you can't guarantee that...I think it ran me @ $600 for the stage 1 process shipping & all.

If you are gonna make a max effort 8v b2k/b22k engine, i'd suggest getting the block, head, & rotating assembly cryotreated, check with these guys with freight that ran around the same as the extrude honing & I went this route because my rods & crank were in good condition, so treating both and having them stronger than just a set of new custom rods was a better plan...IMO it should keep ya from tearing anything up when you put the bottle to it depending on how big of a shot you throw to it & if you use some kind of control on the nos aswell.

oh, you asked about boring the cyls, stock they are 86mm, I went to 87mm, which is 0.039", basicly 40 over, which is the largest off the shelf over bore you can get from advanced auto, napa & the like. don't know whether or not I'd go any bigger as you'll take a chance of getting too thin inbetween the cyl walls & oil/coolant passages.

there is a fair amount of go fast goodies out there, just depends on how much you want to look for it, how much your willing to part with the greenbacks, and so-forth & so-on. if you have any other q's i'll be glad to help what I can.

I am sure I could take my stock cam pulley to my bud at Chatt.Lazer and he would lazer cut me an aluminum pulley, but I dont think he would be able to degree it.Paeco built me a three groove billett crank pulley for 200 pesadas which I thought was cheap as hell,so I know they can do the work.BJ

Hmmm, interesting. The engine kit that I ordered is coming with dished pistons so I will have to see.

I ordered the kit with a .040 over bore so I am going to have the engine bored out next week. I found a set of 2000 pistons on ebay that are available in .040 over. So what will that raise my compression ratio to? Also since I made bonus this week I ordered a Weber conversion kit. So I should have fun putting this all together.

The guy I bought the truck off of also gave me a Haynes manual for it. But I have found some better information at work...someone that has rebuilt one of these 2 times. Told me to bring it in and we could have it knocked out and back in the truck in a weekend.
