thats what i had. hot upper and warm lower. and it was the thermostat for me. but i guess it could also be the radiator. if you want to check, drain your antifreeze and then take the bottom hose off. get a hose (garden hose) and start putting water in the top of the radiator. after doing that for a while, check how much water is comming out of the bottom. if its about the same amount that your putting in then your rad isn't clogged. if its less then your radiator is plugged. but like i said earlier, it wouldn't hurt to change the thermostat. its like $8 and its easy to change. theres two bolts and it took me about 10 mins total.

and one more little suggestion. if you still have the stock wire hose clamps, change them. those f*ckers with eventually just cut through your hose. i got unlucky and it was in the back where i couln't see so it took me forever to find. but just get some good, wide clamps and change all of them. or at least some if your too lazy like me

And don't overlook with any overheating issue the value of a good radiator cleaning, using something like Prestone fast flush. Yeah, it's a pain in the butt becuase you need to add it, get engine hot, then wait for it to cool, then drain, then flush out the cleaner with water, etc., so it takes a few hours, but it did work for me (in 2003, Arizona).
