i finally got a chance to get the timing set to the first big mark to the left of TDC when im looking at the engine. so i decided to switch the timing light from one wire to another and on numbers 1 and 3 they both were firing at the same point on the timing marks but 2 and 4 you couldnt see the mark on the bottom pulley is this normal or do i have a major problem on my hands
bump.My auto truck idles in Park at 1000 rpm and at 700 in gear.urs sounds normal. If u have A/C when u turn A/C on,there should be a fast idle solenoid kick on that bumps the idle about 150 rpm to account for the extra A/c load.
so its normal that 2-4 are firing like that then so i guess when i get a lil extra time and money i will give it a tune up i just wanted to make sure i didnt have a big problem. and it had A/C but sombody snatched everything except the lines off so its nt on here any more. since i got the timing right mine idles around 800-900 in park and when i put it in gear it drops to around 750 but when the motor gets warm it will drop to around 500 when in gear but not all the time should i be ok like that or is there a way i can adjust it to get it dead on its a fuel injected 92 b2600 and what's the firing order just to make that is right
well i had a lilextra time last night so i changed my cap and rotor now the olny time it does it is at low rpm if im running along normal it doesnt pop but it acts like it doesnt have alot of power but as long as i dont go over half throttle im good
