hey i wanting to set up my air like this.. has anyone done this before??????
2 5 gallon tanks with hardline together
1 viar 380 comp with a adjustable pressure switch for it
1 viar 450 comp with a 175 psi pressure switch for it
do yall think that would work? The 450 would turn off at 175 and the 380 turn off at 200 it might be slower than two 450's but it would be able to air up to 200 right?
and because of the check valves it should be fine for the 450 right?

Whya re you running a pressure switch to each of your compressors, use a square d 200 adjustable pressure switch i got one. it would be alot easier to use

if i ran just one switch then how would i turn them off at diff pressures??

Your not supposed to run a 450 past 150 psi. And Im pretty sure that both compressors are supposed to be used only on a 5 gallon tank.

And the difference between a 450 and 380 isnt that great. The 380 will fill to 150 psi 2 minutes slower. So why not get 2 380's so you can fill to 200 psi faster.

Or you can get these new compressor an Air Zenith I think they go to 200psi. Ill have to check

or you can get a Viair 480 which will fill to 150 psi as fast as a 450 and fill to 200 psi 3 minutes and 30 seconds faster than a 380

i dont know which way im gonna set it up yet i think i might still use a 380 and 450

380 and 450 would be a good combo, to get the longest life out of the comps, run the 450 to 150psi and the 380 to anything 200psi or under...should be good to go

or man if you are really looking into quick quick fill times, snag you a 400 or the new 420s (new version of the 400) and it fills noticably quicker than a 450, then u can use the 380 to pump to 200

yea thats why i wanted to just run one 380 and that 450 but i might run a 380 and something else not sure yet it shouldnt be too slow right??

well you could set it up with one tank holding a higher psi w/ a regulator going to the other tank at a smaller psi. Have a T coming off both tanks and a manual valve controling which one is supplying air to your valves. That way if you are hitting switches on the smaller tank.. u will have more air life because the higher psi tank will keep supplying the smaller psi tank with air because of the regulator. And you can go to the back and turn off the smaller tank and turn on the bigger psi tank.. and get crazy movement with a higher preasure that isn't necessarly pratical for every day use.

i would use the manual valve to regulate the pressure in both the tanks?
also how bout running one air-zenithanyone know bout those then getting another later when i get some more money
