I'm sure some of you have seen bag set ups where the bags are mounted on top of the upper control arms... like a copstopper kit. Have any of you performed this set up, or have pictures. I am considering this to my current project and would like to see pix and get your feedback.

Thanks

i dont think anyone on here as done that yet. My only thing would be to brace the upper arms a bit. The cool side is that u can use drop arms instead of drop spindles to get that extra drop.

I'm really interested in doing this to mine.
I think it looks clean and there are less worries of parts rubbing the bag to create a failure. Plus, it just looks different.

make sure you put some good shocks on it as well, because it will ride like poo otherwise.

The only drawback to this is that the upper balljoints are not designed to support that kind of wieght.

the upper arm bushings are also not large enough to support the weight properly. the stock Mazda ones are just basically screws.

for a proper setup that could be used on a daily driver, you would need to make larger upper arms with large bushings and larger balljoints.
