In theory, if you kept the upper and lower bars an even length, your pinion angle would not change. Being that the upper bars are triangulated making them "the same length" will be down to mathematical equations. If they were parallel that would be a different story. It looks like you have adjustable upper bars anyways, so you have some lee-way there. For the bridge, I used 1/4 C channel and it is more rigid than the stock crossmember (s-10). Mine also have holes in it (it was a tract lighting rail, haha) and they came in handy to mount my shocks.
