What up guys,
Well I am debating on what set up I am gonna run in the rear untill I get my 4 link.
So I gots a couple of questions.

I was thinking of going mono leaf, welding in a notch and bridge, and mounting the bags over axal. The reason I like this set up more then a 2 link is cause I can hit side to sides.
But how much lift will I get with a bag over axal set up?

I know 2 links arnt the greatest but I really like the amount of lift bagman got wit his.

Also if I go mono leaf wit bags how low will I be? Right now I am droped wit the torsions down a lot, and all the leafs except the top and bottoms ones pulled, and a 3" block. I am sitting pretty low but I want to make shure I am going to come close to laying frame wit the bags, and get decent lift.
Anyone running this set up?
Everyone please fell free to post any info
Thanks

i ran that set up, but i had a little 6" notch so i was about 4" from laying in the rear, you should get alot of lift and u shouldnt be able to lay with leafs on unless you go nuts and heat them so u can which will be insane but i recommend a super piviot 4 link or 3 link so can hit even more side to sides.

I'd just wait to bag the back if ur gonna run it on monoleafs. Monoleafed with bags in dangerous! Leafsprings are not meant to bend as much as there gonna with bags. MONOLEAFED WITH BAGS PUTS LOTS OF STRESS ON THE BAGS CAUSING THEM TO SNAP! Theres deff gonna be to much stress on them if u also wanna hit sides. I've seen people flip the hole leafspring over, but thats GHETTO. Just wait till you get a link and do it all the right way!

mono leaf isn't nearly as dangerous as a 2 link. Especially if you have them professionally de-arched. I have friends who bagged over mono leaf and have been running the same setup for about 3 years. I set mine up for a 4 link.. just only had a weekend and not enough parts. 4 link should be going on any day now.. or maybe right after blood drag. ANYWHOO

i measured using the top of the tailgate.. because there is no question as to where i measured.. and that point is what articulates the most for measurement. So with that said..

with the front layed out
rear down 33 1/2in
rear up 37in

front lifted
rear down 30 1/2
rear up 35 1/4

and these are rough measurements.. but will give you an idea.

and for arguements sake..
rear down

front up 35in
rear down 26 3/4

and i measured that point at the top of the fender above the front corner light

Thanks for the info mans,
Yeah so my options right now are 2 link, or a monoleaf set up. So I'm not really shure what I should do. I know that ill get more lift out of the 2 link with the bags mounted on the bars but I really want to hit side to sides.
Your messurements are kinda weird, cause right now I am lowered and my messurements came out to 25.8 in the rear and 25.5 on the front. These messurements are from the ground to the fender, directley in front of the center of the wheel to the fender line.

As long as I'm a couple inches lower then that then ill be happy.
Also this is going on a 86 mazda b2000 reg cab.
Any pics and more info would be great. Thanks guys

i measured from the ground to the top of the bed rail right above the tail lights.. so they are kinda large numbers. But i wanted to make it a specific point, so there wasnt any doubt as to where exactly i was getting the measurements from. You can bag over axel and run a two link w/ a pan hard bar, just make sure you don't use the spring pirches because u will hit those before the frame. So you will get more drop.

Mullet you the man,
Hey those messurements are with the stock leaf spring and bag over axal right?
If so that's pretty low.
Yeah as far as the 2 link I would not weld the springs to the 2x2 and I would drive a holr higher in the spring perch. Would this be ok. Or should I just go mono leaf with bags over axal?

Another question is what would be a better ride between the monoleaf with bag over axal, or a 2 link with the bags on the bars? Like I said I'm rolling on the bumps so anything that is better then that would be sick.
Thanks again man

bag over axel and mono leaf is like driving a school bus.. its bumpy as hell.. especially cause i'm rockin no shocks. Its kinda cool when chicks ride in it tho... for obvious bouncing reasons. Keep in mind thats bag over axel, on mono leaf.. overload leaf gone and 3in blocks. and i have got a portion of the spring pirtch missing due to big bumps and dragging it. But if i lay it out in the rear it dosen't lay on the pirtches. You defenatly don't want to weld anything to your spring pirches.. thats dangerous and stupid because you would be getting less drop.. and a lot less manouverablility.
