what i like to do is weld some tubing across the frame on the front and back of the cab. then cut the pinch off. then measure to the rocker. what the bars do is that when you make your last cut it will fall onto the bars and then you know your rockers are the same as the frame.

1. How much of a BD is it to the rockers? (not the pinch)
2.25 but if you dont want to fix the crossmember you can bd it with a little rake so you dont have the mazda tilt
2. What do I do about that sill engine x-member?
either bd past it or build a new one check the archives theres post about how to do this
3. Will I need to lower the motor to clear the hood
my motor is dropped an inch and there is no clearance problems

that's a good idea, we did all kinds of bullshit bodydropping mine. it was dumb.

i have minor hood clearance issues bodydropped 3 1/2 inches, engine in stock location. but i gotta stock hood on with out cutting any holes, i just sacrificed my PCV valve, valve cover breather, air intake filter, and the center hood bracing.... but it's on there!
