wow that would piss me off about the control arms. It just makes you wonder if anyone is telling the truth about thier damn control arms. Guess I will just make my own in the future.

see the thing is others have no prob layin 20's... something is fucked up with mine, and there was another person on ssm saying they were having the same or similar issues.

I've got nothing against KustomWerks I just want this resolved so I can get on with baggin it already.

Not to much progress lately... got the front bagged... still waiting to see what KustomWerks is going to do about my arms cause the ball joints are still binding.

Was going to bag the rear but decided to get a bunch of stuff laser cut to make it better... so i've got a whole bunch of goodies gettin laser cut this week.... its awesome having one of your best friends that can draw all the stuff up for you and make you a bunch of one-off things to get laser cut!

Ordering wheels SOON!!! and my air management as well. (i really hope Russ-D is right on the offsets! haha)

other than that we've come up with some idea's on how the air tank is goin to be mounted, how my batteries are going to be mounted (trays and tie downs are gettin laser cut) how and where the compressors are going to be mounted.

I guess the frame is getting there...

haha

It should be perfect, the only thing it likely wont clear is the booster, but that wont be the fault of the offset, that will be the fault of the width.

a 7 inch wide wheel will tuck like crazy with a 5.5 backspace, which means any wheel you get will need a 2.5 FRONTSPACE. (2.5 + 5.5 =8, a 7 inch wide wheel is actually 8 inches lip to lip because of the extra 1/2 inch on each side for the lips)

So if we want an 8 inch wide wheel, we will still need 2.5 forntspace, an 8 inch wheel + 1 inch for lips is 9 - 2.5 frontspace = 6.5 backspace.

6.5 backspace on an 8 inch wide wheel is 9 / 2 = 4.5 centerline, - 6.5 backspace = 2 inch positive offset, 2 inches is ~50mm, so for an 8 inch wide wheel you need +50 offset.

So I'm probably wrong.

/\ thats the best way IMO, except we use cinder blocks, have them at all 4 corners of the cab with the frame sitting on them and cut the floor out, then BAM cab hits the block and is sittin level no meausuring tape needed

yeah your probably wrong... haha.
