Just bringing this back in case someone on here can help me
I've turned down my torsion bars and the ride quality is pretty bad..
Now I dont understand how re-indexing them will alter ride quality? Surely the same amount of tension will exist before and after indexing, in order to maintain ride height??

You are right. Re-indexing does not alter the amout of spring tension you have, only the relation of the angle of the LCA (lower control arm) to the bar. I feel that the problem you have is a combination of the LCA bottoming out on the bump stops and the stock shocks bottoming out. The fix for your situation is remove the bump stops (and mounting brackets) and buy new shorter shocks. Be careful with this, because if your rims stick past the wheel arch, you will alter the sheetmetal on the first bump.

When I done mine I did not cut the out the mounting brackets for the bump stops I did buy new low profile ones

I also got some 87 Isuzu pup front shocks the stock Mazda shocks bottom out with the lowered stance Now unless I hit a bit pot hole the ride is good.

I didnt know shocks could bottom out, but it makes sense!

Even just going along the highway the ride doesnt feel 'pleasant'
