so i met this dude the other day and he needs me to help him with his set up.

the way his cylinder is attached on the back is by a little bolt???? it looks like maybe a 1'4 inch thick max? and it's only attached on one side too !

the thing keeps snapping for him. no kidding the thing is sooooo tiny and supporting the whole truck, I really don't know much about how hydros mount, so i'd like to learn a bit before i start cutting stuff out and making a new bracket

any help or pics of how your dros are mounted on the bottom would be great

thanks dudes

are they on the link bars or the axle,i made some tabs and welded them to the top of the link bars, drilled a 1/2 inch holes in them and i use a 1/2 inch grade 8 bolt.works well for me,i am eventuually going to go to power balls but until then im on heim joints.speaking of that...how exactly is that bolt holding te cylinder in??does he have heim joints with the 1/4 inch bolt running through it or is that little bolt running directly into the shat, cuz if it is running into the shaft i wanna know how he got that to thread.smallest bolt that cylinders take is a 1/2 in.

thanks man

the bolt is on a heim joint, but only mounted on a single sided bracket

the heim is threaded into the cylinder, then the bolt is thru the heim

i shouldve taken some pictures

where your heim is threaded in, can that be taken out?

crap, see, thats the part that snapped, and i'm not sure how the hell to get it out now.

do you know where i can buy heim joints? buddy has been having them custom made.

dont even bother to go back to heims,i strongly recommend power balls and new cylinders if they are old,but you should be able to drill out the broken stud.powerballs wont break and they allow more movement for the cylinder.
