IRS

Hey,
So i was shooting the shit with one of my old mans friends and it ends up he stripped down a rx-7 to turn it into a drag car, hes GIVING me a rear end and a rotary engine if i want it,... my question is, does anyone have any pics of a IRS on a mazda? it it best to go with cantavlier? ive always loved IRS but i just wondering if you guys had pics of ideas....i noe i dont need a 4-link correct?lol thatnx guys....peace!

lol comeone impulse, were all a mazda family here, !!lol show me some shots of yours, or other pics if you have them....i think if this will elimanate the use of a fourlink, and alows me to cantaliver this shit, i wont be letting it go anytime soon, but ill keep you in mind if he has 2 laying around, lol

Since there are already a few people on this topic i thought i would ask some questions........
I am looking for IRS for my mazda.......what year rx7 is best.......or what other IRS can be used........and what about the bolt pattern and length of the rear end... will it tuck under the mazda box or will the shafts need to be shortened?? I really dont no much about IRS so sorry for all the questions.....

my 87 rx7 irs narrow enuff to run a +39 offset, which is pretty standard.

bolt pattern is a 5x4.5 so your half way to the 5 lug swap.

the rx7 irs is nice and clean and simple. some others are pretty sloppy looking.

+39 offset??? whats that mean???
