Cut it and run! And you will remove all bumpstops when you bag it.

MAD Some of the mazdas had a funky indexing that required you to actually remove the upper bump stops so you could get the bar loose. The ones you want to take out are the ones that keep the upper arm from swinging too far down so that when you jack up the truck the upper arm is topped out metal to metal.Once you have the truck up that far you will see that the torsion bar doesnt even rest on the crescent retainer, from there you should be able to either twist the bolt completely to remove the t-bolt through the crossmember or be confident knowing if you must cut you will be safe. GOOD LUCK & BE SAFE>

dude just be careful when f-ing with that torsion is its having troubles moving, i had one break the bolt while loosening it and it threw the impact gun out of my hand and it felt like the bolt went through my wrist.............plus the truck slammed down hard, (which apparently looked cool)

good thing i was using one of those drive on hoists otherwise it would have been on top of me

Well i already removed the torsion bars....bolt was stuck broke, but it seems like 1 whole page of posts and AAALLLLL my pictures i posted disappeared on me, i dunno if the server made them disappear of what, but there Gone...Weird...anyways i did end up snapping the torsion bolt inside the "T" bolt, so i completely removed the torsion bars for about a night until i could get another "T" bolt the next day to replace the one i snapped, and 1 day of ridin the bump stops i managed to snap my Idler Arm, and bend a tie-rod, i heard some funny noises when i was turning one way got under the truck when i got home, and found that...a snapped Idler arm and a bent tie-rod, about $110 mistake. PISSED

Looking at that pic. Do i want that arm touch the frame?up? or the opposite?if the oppasite wont it get caught on man holes and speed bumps? or do you just stay away and have a planned route to drive?
