Ok heres what i have going on, The stock mazda rear didn't like the 351w so i decided to tear it out and go with a disc brake, lsd 8.8 rear out of a 98 mustang gt i just got the rer back from getting it cut down to put some fat slicks in the back so this weekend i will be redoing my 4 link, rearbags and shocks, and i was wanting to no what i need and how hard is it to convert the front to 5 lug ? And is the toyota 5 lug 5x4.5 like the ford rear axle thats in my truck, also when i swap the front i will have Aim 2" spindles for sale, and the wheels that are on my truck in the pic, there 16x7 chevy avalnace wheels with z71 smooth center caps.... I no hybrid has done this swap, thanks in advance!

YOTA'S ARE 5 X 114.3MM OR 5 X 4.5" SO THEY SHOULD BE THE SAME.
FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND YOU WILL NEED THE WHOLE SPINDLE ASSEMBLY (YOTA SPINDLES, BALL JOINTS, HUB ASSEMBLIES, ROTORS & BRAKE CALIPERS) & YOU MAY HAVE TO ADAPT THE BRAKE LINE TO FIT THE YOTA CALIPERS. GOOD LUCK WITH THE SWAPS! JUST FOR WHAT WILL YOU BE LOOKIN TO GET FOR THE DROPPED SPINDLES IF I MIGHT ASK?

NOT REALLY SURE IF I'LL NEED THEM YET OR NOT, GOTA WAIT TILL I GET MY MOTOR IN & SEE HOW THE FRONT SITS.....EVERYTHING ELSE ON MY FRONT END IS NEW TOO, IT MIGHT BE A MONTH OR SO ON THE MOTOR, IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO SELL THE SPINDLES DON'T WAIT ON ME....

hey bro. u can just get your stock mazda hubs re-drilled to 5x4.5 bolt pattern. it is the easiest way.

you can take it to a machine shop that will gladly do it. if u can;t find one, there is a guy in tennessee that drills them regularly, mazda hubs to yota pattern. it'll run about 200

i would still recommend the swap,i was going to redrill mine but with yota parts you have a quality front end and you can upgrade your balljoints .although you really wont need to with stock yota balljoints.but you will need everything toyota from the upper ball joint to the lower balljoint.redrill your upper control arms and weld up the mazda holes.you have to also redrill the bottom control arm.you will need to use the yota break hoses and they will mate up perfectly with the mazda brake line.the only thing thats a problem is the tie rod which really isnt that much of a problem.cut the yota and mazda tie rods in half, then weld the threaded side of the mazda tie rod to the pivot side of the yota tie rod and there you go.the first side took about 4 hours and the sencond side took about an hour.

nothing wrong with factory mazda suspension. i don't know what you mean by "quality parts" since it's basically the same design, but the slight difference in hub size and obviously 6 to 5lug.

yeah welding a tie rod together just isn't too comforting...if the weld were to break........NO GOOD! redrilling the hubs sounds a lot less complicated, not to mention safer......just my 2 cents.

to each his own,i prefer the swap for upgradable parts and the balljoints
